Hot Bodies Cyclone S (snoring car)
Thinking of getting one of these Cyclone S cars for winter, its basically a plastic version of the world champ machine at a decent price.
Wondered if anyone knew much about them or any experience with them ? I plan to go to Garforth to race it a bit over winter if I get one. I don't know much about touring cars as I've not raced in a while.:jimmeh |

I race the Hara version on carpet myself. Where i rac ther are normally 3 cyclones in the top 5. The nice thing with the sport version is you get a locked layshaft and front diff which is the most commonly used combination on tight carpet tracks. If your going to run mod get yourself a corally 108 tooth spur as you won't be able to gear down enough with the kit one.
My car is pretty much box stock, starting set up 5mm ride hieght, 4 degree castor blocks, 1 degree camber all round, silver springs front and rear with 40wt oil. 6mm droop front and 5mm rear. front shocks one hole in from outside rear 2 holes in on the towers. outer hole at the bottom on the front, middle hole at the rear. i found the car to be naturally stable and only make small changes depending on how the track has been laid each week. sorry for bad punctuation spelling etc but i should be off my break now. |

hey jimmy, I'll be at GTCC through the winter, amybe you can show me how to use my D50 properly in manual mode LOL
Yeah, the cyclone and xray are simmalar, not sure about price, but I just bought a T2, and its a super cool car, with uber great quality, so I'd go xray, because of the quality

I can hit you up with a setup for a Cyclone from Russ Williams.
By the way, indoors, if you can do it, front one-way is the daddy.

Cheers guys, I will be running the car, assuming I get it (which is likely), at Garforth which is an indoor carpet track, nothing massive.
Would prefer to run Modified, but apparently thats nearly died and most run 19 turn now at g'forth A mate of mine said he runs a one way now, not sure I could stretch to that though so might just run it as it comes. |
