Shorty seems to be most popular. The general consensus is that the car is lighter and therefore more agile and responsive. There also seems to be an issue with motor size if you run saddles; some folks have had to Dremel the steering setup to get their motor to fit. You'll be ok with HPI motors I would think and also believe Orion are ok too.
I've only run shorty and see no reason to change. HTH |

Also heard about needing to dremel but not sure on the motors. Id like to see a list.
Thing is that a lot of people (including me) are adding the avid chassis to get more weight although its LCG I wouldn't mind trying the saddle packs with the CF chassis. I have shortys and saddles but use shorties as I have them in the 2wd as well. Saves me carting around extras Anyone got the length of the motors that fit? Read the last post to see difference in using saddles to shorty,
Orion motors you still have to dremel steering ti fit it in. http://www.oople.com/forums/showthre...133568&page=12 |

I'm running saddle and love the way the car feels unfortunately you do have to take some plastic from the steering post but does not affect it in any way I'm running a thunder power motor

I've built mine in saddle config as I believes it calms the car down. Not had a run yet but hopefully soon.
As for motors, I have an Orion VST2 fitted and had to Dremel nothing.
