Sorry to hijack your thread...

Another one thinking of coming back for a play. What are the most common 2wd's at Bury. Thinking of breakages as budget won't allow for carrying many spares.

Cheers,
Ian

Hi mate,

All cars these days are fairly robust compared to how they used to be even 5 years ago but as with many things the more you spend generally the quality is higher. For out and out toughness and reliability you can't really beat the Kyosho RB6 the plastics are extremely good quality and the metal parts don't wear anywhere near as quickly as other brands, the only problem is that Kyosho car's are expensive compared to some other brands but I believe in the long run will cost you less as will need less maintainance.
You may gather that I run this car and in just under a year of serious racing at both club and national level I have only broken one part which is a testament to the quality of the kit.
Alternatively in terms of strength the Losi 22 2.0 seems a fairly strong piece of kit but maybe not quite as quick on the track or to setup than the RB6.
You can also still find the original Losi 22 available second hand which are very strong indeed but it's quite widely felt to be a difficult car to setup and drive.

There is also the Durango 210 which seems tough in terms of plastics but does seem to have a lot of issues with the diff where at the same time not being the quickest car on track these days.

As you can appriciate there are pros and cons to all cars

Chris

Yes good job there's a lot of spares available as they're made of glass, especially the sv2
