Arrow URBAN X PART 2

Hi folks,

I thought I would share with you some images of the potential location that is currently being investigated for Urban X PART 2...This one is going to be awesome I feel....check it out

Firstly a view from the solid and very spacious rostrum area, some 25 feet above the racing surface...a massive pool???!!! we drain the water and build the track...ooooh yes ...this time we go all ASTRO!!!

Secondly a shot of the elevated rostrum platform itself with steps directly from the adjacent pit area walkway!!

.....AND...FINALLY....A little shot of the amazingly unique backdrop that will potentially great racers at Urban X PART 2

Plans are well underway folks so stay tuned as this one is going to be a first!!

How deep is it bud and how will the marshalls access the track, ladder? Just trying to warn of possible H&S nightmare! Looks great though and your first event was run really well so I sure this will be awesome. Good luck pal

Marshall access will be from special steps that have been previously built for access during other pool drained events. The pool is 6 feet deep straight across...no deep end so no need for armbands

Well, I know the location - pretty recognisable if you like art and the theatre and live in Birmingham!

Great news Stu. Looks a great venue and plenty to think about.

Just a few of my thoughts for the track builders. Astro is going to be heavy to get in and out of that 6 foot drop. Also you are going to need some sort of wooden platform underneath so you have a way of securing the astro. We wouldn't want the track lifting and I doubt the owners would want us nailing it into there pool.

At a rough guess I would say the pool is 10m x about 15 to 20m. Will definately be a unique experience.
