After another shakedown test with someone's CR and comparing it with my own B4 (this time on clay, not astro), I've decided to order a XXX CR. The Losi is much easier to drive fast. My first impression remains : the rear grip is not as random as on the B4, making it possible for me to turn more consistent laps. Steering is not yet on the same levell as the B4, but this seems to be more of a setup issue on the CR i tested and not to be inherent to the car like the older Losi 2WD's.
It's quite a big step for me since I've been racing Associated 2WD's since the B2 in '96, but in a way it's a return to the old stable I started with. My B4 is not at the end of it's life yet. it's front suspension, steering and slipper will be used on a project I have in mind. More info on this when the CF plates and Schumacher parts I ordered arrive (how's this for a teaser ) |
