Im up in Central QLD. I don't have the 8IGHT anymore, sold it and now have a Durango DEX410. Was eyeing off a TRF801 Buggy as Amain have them on clearance but think ill just stick with 1/10 for abit longer.

Amain have none left but still have plenty of spares. The kit isn't discontinued is it? Tower no longer has it either although Tower aint really good with Tamiya gear.

Try speedtech they seem to be the best for TRF kits

I ran a nitro 801XT all last season and with the new shorter arms, buggy knuckles, and buggy hexes it handles amazingly. It just goes wherever you want.
I found that 10-10-5 or 10-10-3 were the best diff setups depending on the surface, but didn't really need much setup change to be super fast on any track!

Great truggy, shame there isn't more support for it!

you would think with marc and lee racing it this year Tamiya would be really supporting there product seems like the only places you can get all the spares is Amain and Vellrip and Amain arent selling the buggy or the truggy anymore you cant even get these cars in Australia i had to import all my trf cars but it seems the support is thin worldwide is there any other hobbyshops that carry everything for the trf 1/8 cars speedtech has nothing

For speedtech, you simply need to send them an email with what parts you want and they will order them for you.
I think this is the same with trackstar, although they do have some listed on their website.

You should talk to Albert or Jeff at Speedtech and I am sure they will order the parts for you as they do have access to it if it shows in stock on Tamiyausa.com. If they don't order it for you, find out why and report back so I can yell at them . I also know that nitro is not as popular in other places as it is in the U.S. Just tell me if you can find anything for either kit on Tamiya Japan's website. It's like the don't knowledge its existence.

Honestly a lot of people do not support the buggy and truggy due to price point. They can carry far more parts for Slashes than TRF products.

I noticed that a lot of the parts Dave Jun had developed for this kit were not showing up right on the web. That has since been fixed so make sure to check out the full list of hopup parts for:
Buggy - http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/rcp...=desc&offset=1
Truggy - http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/rcp...=desc&offset=1
