Default SP LPF Software Update?

Being an old school racer returning to off road 2wd I have never used a esc that can have its software updated. I have a speed passion LPF locked in blinky mode. Currently have the standard program box but cant link it to a PC. I have been told that the hobbywing program box will work and I can update its software. Is this the right box? http://www.giantshark.co.uk/hobbywin...-p-403901.html

If I update the software will I notice, will it make a difference or just best leave it alone?

Thanks

Yes, that's the box I use for my SP.

You can use it to load either the Hobbywing software or the Speed Passion software.

Thanks. What software is best for a 2wd 7.5 motor for the LPF. Could someone point me in the right direction.
