Default AVID chassis joy

I tested a bit last night and what a difference it made. Although I didn't really give the car a good run and test with the original chassis, but Im not thinking that I will go back to it for the time being.

Tight track with slicks and additive I ended up with:
10k 100k(with some 80wt oil to bring it down a little) 10K
3x1.3 45tlr AE purple
3x1.4 35tlr AE white

I found a 1.8 ARB and bent it to fit, after tips from David Ronnefalk. I will see if I can get hold of a 2.0 at some point.

I tried rear outside hole on arm but found the rear didn't hold through the whole corner, it would wash out easier on power.
Went back to the inside and it felt better, that might be because of the springs selection but more testing to come.

Nice!
Waiting for my Avid chassis. Finnish customs knows the concept of snail mail.
I thought that I can get by with sticky weights but just noticed that the avid has cut out places for their own weight system. Have to 3D print something and put stickies on there.

Have the part numbers for the ARBs?

got to test the Avid Chassis on damp astro. back to back against the kit chassis, the extra weight really helped calm the car down and add consistency. definitely a great tuning aid and now available

I ran mine for the first time this weekend, it makes the car loads more stable yet it doesn't lose any of it's agility - highly recommended!

Shelle makes a +4mm in CF, from in front of the middle diff, would be interesting to test that in CF and alu as well. But the wallet wont allow it.

Default Avid chassis

Have you had to alter the suspension in any way Richard to allow for the extra weight? Definitely going to get one of these. 👍

Not just yet, on Sunday I didn't get chance to change much as the turnaround was fairly speedy between races. It did feel like it would have benefited from going up 2.5w though which I'm going to try next time I run the car (so going up from the 40/27.5w that's in at the moment to 42.5/30w).
