Tamiya m02 excessive steering play.
Hi guys, has anyone got any idea how I can solve this. My m02l has a huge amount of play through the steering parts. Can anyone suggest a way to reduce it?

Hi torque servo saver - can't remember the part number off the top of my head.

Steering bellcranks had a reasonable amount of movement on my M01, which when combined with a little backlash in the servo saver and links added up to quite a large amount of movement at the wheels.

That's where the play in mine is, they seem to have slop every which way. There's no play in the steering turnbuckles or servo saver ( I've fitted a kimbrough item, the original 3 piece one is useless). Was thinking of finding some way of packing them out to limit the movement but not sure what to use so not to impede steering.

Think ive solved the problem. I've effectively made shims from thin plastic shaved right down. I've reamed a hole in them so they fit under the plastic steering arms. Seems to have massively reduced the play. Gonna test it at the iconic cup at Stafford on Sunday. Hope it's worked!
