Very keen to see the results of the anodising.
The Cougar2 is still my all time favourite 2WD.

Ok, the day ive been waiting for. The chassis, plates and bits have been posted through my door by the best post-woman ever .

After careful opening at looking at the parts all I can say is AWESOME !!!!!! RichyUK has made a fantastic job of the parts. The only thing that I wished ive had done is take before pics, but will do on my next rebuild

I will be posting pics shortly after I have stopped looking at them.

Ooooh - can't wait to see the finished result!!

Was this the car that inspired the paint job on your original Cougar2?

Default Gearbox build

The gearbox went together really well. Once it was together I wasnt happy with the belt tension as it was a little tight in standard setting as per instructions. So went one click looser and this felt good. I fitted a new spur, new thrust race to the slipper with TI balls, new transmission case, new complete screws throughout and of course a purple nut to finish.

Again click on pics to enlarge......

S W E E E E E T !!!!!
That carbon effect on the chassis looks amazing!
So this would be the 'TEAM' version will colours and effects to suit your own unique taste.
I've got a whole lot of Topcats, Cougars and Cougar2 cars and I find the gearbox very efficient out on the track.

I continue to watch your build with abated breath.

Thank you Mark and BORMAC. Yes this is the Cougar 2 Team, Although one alloy roller is broken and waiting for some to turn up, new plastic will be fitted then switched over. But back in the day some of the schumacher team drivers would remove the rollers anyway and fit the plastic as after a few runs the bearings would seize up. But they do look good. So on with the BUILD !!!!!!
