So jimmy, whats your fav car?
As you have run, reviewed and testet the most popular 4wd race buggys, you sure must have a favorite.
My time in my current class comes to an end and i decided to race 1:10 ep offroad buggys next. You seem to be THE man with the best overview to help me form my opinion. I think general performance is not really an issue, as the cars you reviewed are all race-cars and should perform well on every kind of track, is it? So my question is, are there any major differences, which throw some cars out of the race and put one on top of the list? Thanks! |

Hi mate! thats not an easy question to answer! I don't like to say that one car is the best on the track since I might take another out and just have the better setup or it be more suited to the track etc...
Probably my favourite car was the original bj4x4, for its strength, ease of use, compatible spares with my b4, etc etc.. the arms were weak but if you crashed hard you knew what was broken before it stopped crashing and it was fairly cheap and quick to fix. Dont get me wrong it wasn't perfect, but it had a good combination of favourable traits which made it nice to live with and race week after week. To be honest though, I like all the cars Ive reviewed in different ways, either for their handling characteristics or looks or or or.. |

Thank you! You helped me, just by not saying that car is crap and that one is the best. So i guess i´ll just make a personal decision (i quite like the looks of the kyosho :-D ) depending on availability of spares and prices and so on.
Thanks! (great site, photos, forum etc. mate!!!) |

We should make a general topic about this.
I've been racing since the early 90'ies (my god I'm getting old ! ) and my favourite car remains the Schumacher CAT2000EC. I couldn't put a wheel wrong with that car. It brought me to a 5th place in our national championship and it put me in the E-final of the euro's in Barcelona in 1997 (doesn't seem much, but I'm still very proud of it, considering it was all privately funded on a student budget ). I's a shame Schumacher gave up on 4WD off road cars. My favorite 2WD is a bit more difficult to determine. I'm doubting between the very first Losi XX and the AE B3 with a slight advantage for the XX given it's revolutionary design for the time. BTW, I still have both cars (the CAT2000EC and the XX). I couldn't sell them |

Jimmy can't pick one car, that would be un-professional; to review cars you have to be equal to all. Jimmy knows he can’t say ‘Yokomo BX’ ha ha (only messing huh) Last edited by Bathy; 01-06-2006 at 08:49 PM. |
