I have experienced this problem and Team member ILoyde Storey solved the problem.
If you use the diff for some time and don't replace the cone washers you have the problem of flattening them over time. Mine had done this as my bolts were snapping and wasnt helping me do my 5 mins. Since putting new thrust races in and cone washers the diff stayes tight even when it is set loose the diff doesnt slip. You wont believe the difference once you change the parts. The reason the head breaks off the screw is because there is no give left in the cone washers so your putting to much stress on the head or thread of the bolt.

How often are you replacing these bits?
The bits you are replacing are from the Pro-Diff Screw Set? |

Its the first time, I think the diff had had a year of use with the cone washers.
I used the pro screw kit and you'll understand once you have done it.

Cool, hope Schumacher post it and the postman does what he's paid to do....
I'll get another screw kit ordered as prob best to do both at the same time. I get the impression it's the front diff goes more.. |

Well the rear diff is under more load once you are accelerating but when your on high grip the diffs get abused a little. When the cone washers are knackered it wont do any favours whatever conditions you will race on.
