Default QAV400 quadcopter

Just ordered one! Also ordered some sunnysky 980's.
Will post back on here with build progress and review.

The plan is to use as a close proximity quad, with great gopro footage flying fast.

Sound good - I really like the look of the QAV quads- the isolation for camera etc looks neat and better than the TBS route. Also the size looks spot on - I'd have gone for the 400 over the 500 too
Did you order from US?

Yes, like the idea of no vibrations for vid footage.
Ordered the frame from a guy on eBay, £130 for frame. Not cheap but

One of the team pilots (juz70) is testing a brushless gimbal that is due out soon

Should all be delivered tomorrow so will have it built in the next few days hopefully.

Neal - have a look on http://www.fpvmanuals.com/2013/01/11...ng-the-qav400/

It looks cool - isolation platform for camera / electrics and it's quite a bit smaller then the TBS - so smaller props / lipo's etc (cheaper )

Also - the GoPro can be in it's protective box - which is a bonus.

Footage from these things looks very stable and jello free. Quite fancy one myself when I can afford it....

When I see the FPV stuff, I will soon remember this Guy "Justin Welander", have you some guys see his video? It is amazing.
