Default Team Durango new direction in the USA

With Mr.Durango Gerd Strenge himself leaving along with likely the best prospect they've had in the uber talented Joern Neumann - Team Durango would look to be on a one way (TM) slide to sideshow status in the realm of model car racing. But with all the recent changes for the undeniable worse at least for their image - there's also been some apparent positives with changes in the USA bringing former team driver Travis Amezcua into a more involved team role alongside Brad Bucker from Hobbico, to help with the direction of the brand.

From Hobbico / Team Durango:

Team Durango is proud to introduce two new members to the Team Durango leadership team: Brad Brucker and Travis Amezcua.

Starting December 8th, Brad Brucker will be our new Field Communications Manager – Surface. Based in Champaign, Illinois, Brad will work closely with Travis and our drivers, providing on-site race-day support and feedback for our design engineers.

For the past nine years, Brad has worked at Hobbico as the Lead Model Tech for the Hobby Services team, which he supervised in addition to repairing vehicles. His extensive knowledge of R/C cars made him a valuable asset to customers. Now, he’s bringing that same R/C expertise to Team Durango.

“It’s an honor to join the Team Durango crew. I look forward to working with all the talented members of this team in the coming months,” said Brad.

Pro racer Travis Amezcua will serve as our new North American Technical Representative, based in southern California.

“After 22 years of racing R/C cars and learning from our industry leaders, now it’s my turn to teach the next generation of racers,” said Travis.

While 2015 represents lots of new and exciting changes for Team Durango, what won’t change is our commitment to making the R/C industry’s most innovative vehicles. Be on the lookout for more news updates from Team Durango in the year to come!
