Default New Tyre Option

Hi All

As you have probably seen, i have been playing around with different tyres and compounds of late. Some simply dont work, others work but are below the yellow pins, but i found something this week that gives you a serious other option.

dBoots Terrabytes in A compound, with standard schumacher medium inserts worked from brand new on all sections of the track. They had slightly less traction down the straight than yellow pins, but certainly made up for that on all other sections.

I tried them with both low pro cut staggers, and also the Terrabyte A compound fronts too. With the cut staggers the compounds were too much of a miss match and the balance was all wrong, but with the terrabyte fronts it was good. With a slightly different car setup to suit the tyres, these are a realistic option for anyone who wants to avoid the scrubbing in period.

As for tyre life, i only did 10 minutes on them, but looking at the wear on them, i would say they will last for 2 nights, possibly 3 for the smoother less throttle happy drivers.

They are also a few pennies cheaper which is always a bonus
