Default Sleigh takes Hereford Micro National

Phil Sleigh took the final round of the 2009/2010 BRCA Micro National series held at Hereford. The championship in the popular 4WD class had already been decided and the champ, Mark Stiles, wasn't in attendance - but the quality of the competition was as high as ever.

Ex-Micro-Champion Craig Harris dominated early qualifying, taking the first three rounds whilst Phil had to play second fiddle, consistently 2nd behind Craig. Craig took overall TQ and lead Phil away at the start. A mistake from Craig a quarter way into the race gifted the inside line to Phil and he never looked back - taking the win in style with an incredibly smooth and consistent run.

We'll have a report on the meeting online soon....

FYI, its not a rc18b shell, its an aftermarket shell for the blaze/shark.

and seeing as phil is a team driver for AE in 1/10th, it behooves him to support his sponsers.

He is also not officially sponsored by AE to run 18th, only 10th...

Plus it was also a borrowed car, not his own just as a one-off for the meeting.

I give up.

You cant even win a National and wear your sponsors t-shirt anymore without getting a gob full on a forum.

As far as I know Phil stood in for Bish as the lazy bugger was busy sunning himself in Barbados It's not Phil's car, it's Bish's car. I heard that Phil might be back next season with his own car.

You've gotta stop winding people up Rob, at this pace you'll soon have no forum to go to

What's most annoying about Rob's post is that he doesn't even have his facts correct, before slagging off Sleigh!

1) Point about RC18 shell - WRONG
2) Phil isn't sponsored for 18th Scale!
3) Its a borrowed car...not his!

I would recommend getting your facts correct with proof before slagging one of the top 10, 10th scale Electric off-road drivers off on a forum, who is actually a top bloke to go with it! He is also showing his sponsor on his t-shirt, and stickers as you correctly pointed out, so he is a true pro!
