No one should be using additives on tyres and it doesn't level the playing field at all.

The fact is no additive will help give a grip advantage at whitcliffe. The grip is low because temperature is low, floor is too dusty, track is frequently wet or dusty.
Apologies Neal, you are correct, this isn't the place for discussing additives. I just couldn't get my head around the logic of the 'level the playing field' comment.

I did try someone's tyres that had been trested with WD40 and it turned the car into an undrivable mess.

This is Batley forum, not Cullingworth
Ha so your all still denying it? but good attempt at flipping it onto me!!!

I raised the question since a lot of Cully drivers race at Batley.

And Batley drivers race at York and Bury so where would it stop?

And as for levelling the playing field like everyone else I've got money and time invested in equipment (all be it the wrong equipment in some opinions) but if I can't compete because someone's playing outside the rules it's not a level playing field, if its known about then people either stop it by scrutineering or there own conscience, or everyone does it and were all the same.

I would be happy moving if its not too far and the track is better/more suitable than the current indoor venue. What sort of surface is it going/ likely to be.
