Default Hinckley 2wd regional - CANCELLED

Hi All,

It is with regret that we have taken the decision, on the advice of the host club, that this weekend's regional at Hinckley is cancelled.

Following an inspection this afternoon the track is heavily waterlogged as well as the pit area. Rain continues to fall and is forecast to be heavy all weekend. In the interests of safety, we have called the meeting off.

As you know, Ledbury 2wd has been re-scheduled this year already and taken the reserve date, so this event will NOT BE RE-SCHEDULED. Meaning 2wd ch'ship in 2012 has become a best 2 scores from 4 rounds series. Apologies for those of you who were banking on this round, we cannot re-schedule this meeting as we have a ruling where the a reserve date is used and no other reschedule will take place. Please don't flood the forums with how unreasonable this is, it is the fairest solution for all so that the calendar can be set and people can plan accordingly.

Hope you all have a nice weekend doing whatever you decide to do instead.

Cheers Tom.

Sad, but at least we know early and can rearrange ourselves.

Feel sorry for so many people this weekend, so many events up and down the country getting cancelling, and not just RC meetings.

Such a shame when the weather does this.

There is a Mid East regional at Broxtowe on Sunday. They usually run a few open heats. The track drains extremely well, no puddles after all of yesterday's rain.

Looks like Silverstone will be popular, astro that can't be affected by rain (unless the roof is removed by strong winds of course) ... seems like the safest bet
