Thanks Chris. I'll be looking into tracks once this year's cup has concluded.

Brooklands in Kent would be a good shout:

http://www.southeastrccc.co.uk

It's held world champ events with camping and easy access from ferry/euro tunnel if racers from Europe wanted to enter

Let's add the Cotswolds club to the list of potential candidates - their track is awesome, and if the weather is good I could take victims up in a plane during the evening

Not usually a traveller for racing, but will definately be following this event around next year. WLRC is my local but can't wait for Broxtowe. Gonna be another epic day! Let's hope for more weather like round 1.

Structurally yes, logistically and in 12 months time errr....anyone's guess. But it would be a great track and it's got sentimental value too being the "pukka" Tamiya track.

Regarding Snetterton. We've held excellent Iconic Meets there in recent years. Brilliant track. It isn't a BRCA club though and there's no timing equipment and the whole place is very run down. It won't be an Iconic Cup venue.

Whilst I love cotswolds, the prospect of running sport tuned motors on a track that size doesn't appeal. While running 13.5 boosted touring car at the Clubmans I had time to think 'I wish i was running Mod' while driving down that back straight! lol

If the classes remain the same with the fastest classes only running 13.5 blinky its a risky going to 'big' tracks as it does encourage some drivers to really push the limits with gearing and then the event can become expensive. And M Chassis with sport tuned ... time for a nap while on the straight.

Eastbourne? Medium sized track (mod no quicker than 13.5 boosted), lots of Mini drivers race regulary as well as Tourers, holds TC Clubmans every year, camping allowed, toilets, burger chalet etc.....also they ran the Tamiya Eurocup back in the day http://eecc.co.uk/eurocup.php

In advance of tomorrow's grand finale at Broxtowe, here is some great news for 2017.

Thanks to all clubs that expressed an interest. I intend to grow this gradually and went for tracks/clubs I know and are geographically positioned to make it easier for people to pick at least 2 from the 4 based on where they're driving from. Bigger tracks will have shortened laps to suit the motors/gearing. Best 2 of 4 counts towards the championship. Tweaked rules announced soon. Dates announced in January. John.

Excellent news John. And the prospect of a shortened Cotswolds is great as its a great place to race. 4 very good venues which i imagine will elevate the Iconic Cup into something very special, just like the way the Revival has grown.

Another epic days racing despite very challenging conditions! Lost a speedo (apparently water and Lrp runner don't mix) and my ta01 has now had enough. Rebuild needed lol. But I'll settle for a shock 3rd in the overall m chassis standings. And my bro was smiling all 130 miles home about his raffle or should I say lottery prize of the Tamiya kit. At least it stopped him moaning about his car for the rest of the day. Small mercies. Thanks John and all at iconicrc and the clubs involved for a very cool series. Roll on next year
