Default nationals

all this talk is great
but!

if your club wants a national
applications have to be received for the agm
which is this weekend.

you need to express your interest for this weekend
and then submit an information pack for the next committee meeting.
you need to contact paul worsley
paul.worsley@virgin.net

get those applications in and lets give them the chance to
mix it up!
cheers andy

For me it would be (by enjoyment factor not geographical location which is also improtant for a national series);

Kidderminster
Silverstone
Torch
Southport
RHR ASTRO (not dirt) - never been but only heard good things
EPR - not been for ages but always used to be fun

I really enjoyed the venues this year, a good spread around the UK and some great tracks, would happily go back to all again.

As for RHR "Dirt", as awesome as it looks and surely is, for me it would give that unfair advantage to those most local or who been around the most. As nice as it is to use this "novel" surface in the UK I really do think it would disadvantage the masses if within our national series (and that is before we even think about the unpredicatble UK weather), big one off meetings, yes (and plemty of them too to maximise this great facility) but for "me" I would always prefer to use the superb astro track at this great venue within our national series......

Then to throw the cat amongst the pigeons, possible new venues for 2013.....

TORCH - superb track with massive potential, has run regionals this year and considering the weather they were great, ran the LMR/RB GP and showed it is more than capable of "bigger" things now...

Boughton Raceway - visited this venue recently and WOW is all I can say, nice track, well presented, HUGE rostrum (could fit 20+ on it I would reckon), acres of pitting space and the coolest race control ever (mini flight tower!!) Well worth a visit, maybe ideal for one of the EOS finals....

and one of my own favourites as an outside possibility

Herts (Ware) - loads of pit space, nice size all astro track, great onsite facilities (food, toilets and shop) and run by a club with massive experience in running large BRCA meetings with their invlovement with the 1/8th Nitro track that is adjacent which has run numerous BIG meetings, an outsider maybe, but still worthy in my opinion...

Surprised no ones mentioned any more on this, I saw them announced by Racer Magazine last week (28th) via Twitter!

https://twitter.com/racermagazine

13-14 April - Kidderminster. 4-5 May. Southport. 25-26 May - EPR. 22-23 June - Broxtowe. 27-28 July - Stotfold. 17-18 August - Oswestry.

Haven't seen them posted anywhere else yet though...
