I bought the car used in 1993, he was a serious racer, so as you can imagine, he cuts the chassis to lighten it. My SWB optima mid chassis was drilled.

Rama, Count me in for 1 layshaft (friendly reminder)

I'm also interested in a full set of suspension arms but can you tell me the lenght of the suspension arms please?
What kind of swingshaft do you use together with the suspension arms?

hi oli, the arms are exactly the same length as LA-26. The swing shafts are LA245. I use my own hard PEEK C hub which allows me to use ZX-5 knuckles which are easier to get and has more grabbing area for the kingpin. For the front CVD I put a 2mm spacer on the outside, for the rear I think its a few shims on the inside.

Rama.

Your cars are a disgrace to this vintage forum.

They are proper bangers and have messy layouts.

Sort it out.

Make them look nicer...ask Jopp to help you.

Hi rob, thanks for the kind words. I have Durango DEX410 normal bore shocks on this mid. I use 3 hole pistons that I drilled out, with 20wt oil. The shocks are too bouncy at this time, and to further improve handling I will be trying 30wt oil. BTW, if I did not drill out the pistons, it was way too hard. The springs are the original blue Durango springs.
My LWB mid is more sure footed and easier to drive, but then again that has Kyosho Big bores and a top notch servo, while my SWB has a cheap servo and small bore shocks. I really believe I can improve the handling with 30wt oil though, but as it is the car is still very drivable.
