Yeah I have to agree, fantastic pics - that was a nice looking lens you had on the D3

the pic of the 2 durangos, close side by side going over the triple is one of my favs, the white and purple durango was mines, and next to me was Jason's blue and white durango.

these are fantastic photos Andrew.

Haven't looked at the settings - but will be!
Can I ask which lens/lenses you were using?

I'll be tagging my favs later.
Can I pinch a few for the SORC website?

Many thanks for the great responses guys!

I was using an 80 to 200mm zoom lens, but all the photos were taken at the 200mm end of it.

My camera has a large full size sensor which creates a shallow depth of field (a narrow sweet spot of focus with soft, out of focus backgrounds). Wide apetures also increase this effect.

Even at 200mm the images still had to be cropped a fair bit.

I'm happy for some to be used on the SORC and DDRCC websites, as long as they are credited and linked back to the web gallery.

Let me know the file numbers of the ones you might want. I think the shots showing multiple cars are best to show the close racing. (I'm too busy working now till next Monday though bear in mind.)
