This is a bit OT, but does anyone else feel we have too many larger meetings these days? I honestly can't remember the last time I did a Sunday club meeting, it's either a regional, national, worksop, indoor finals ect ect - or thats the way it seems. Bigger meetings are fun but it's getting a bit much recently, we need to move back to getting more relaxed club racing in!

Thing is I get so burned out by all the time/effort I put into larger meetings when I do get the chance to do a club day I'm wanting a weekend off! I'd like to show my support for both clubs running this Sunday, it's a little frustrating I can only run at one

Anyway weekly rant over, back to Bury

Nick: As far as I'm aware (I may be wrong) the potential of the Bury indoor venue was realised after the 'Regional' dates were announced, therefore it was too late to include you in any series. Hopefully the Bury venue will be part of the indoor series next year. I also hope that the Bury outdoor venue will be able to host a NE Regional in summer. I'd also like a National there again, but that’s my opinion.

Stu: As I'm living in Preston as a student, 140 miles each way is a bit far to travel for a Regional, although looking at the track I wish I was there. At least I had fun at the Southport GP

Chris: As far as I'm aware there was no NE 'Regional' event taking place the same weekend as the Petit Race, not that I live in NE region anymore. Also, events at other ends of the country are inevitable and not really 'clashes' Although the JC 'Clash' did clash with a NE Regional, how inconsiderate

My thoughts are that I would like every club to be able to run week-in-week-out with high numbers, but in reality that can't happen, so I would prefer each club to be able to host a select number of events to allow each club a good couple of club days.

As I get the e-mails for booking in I update the list on our website. If anybody is having trouble reading that list then they should tell me and can come to other arrangements.

hi all.. this is just a last min thing. me and a few friends are thinking of racing 2wd for the first time at a big meeting. We are travelling far from bham.. i have a few questions;

so could we book in on the day?
If we decide to come;

what time should we get there?
do we need to bring tables/chairs?
is there power supply?
Whats the exact address with post code
What time do you think racing will finish?

thanks

Hi gurdy,

I can give answers based on previous rounds but I'm not a club official...

Booking in the day is one I wouldn't like to say, there is already 91 booked in so that would have to be to WoOdy and Rog and Nick.

You will need your own tables and chairs and mains power is available, just bring an extension.

The address and postcode will either me on a previous thread or the clubs website which is mentioned in this thread, you can't miss it with about 5 mins of searching.

Last time it was a late one and we left about 7:00pm. Hopefully this time won't be as late as WoOdy was trying to stress to people the importance of keeping the meeting moving. The computer through qulaifying is usually set on a specific time between heats. There is usually sufficeient time.

Hope this helps??
