Smile Supastox Mi5 Mod

Hi,

I'm finally getting the hang of racing, and looking to improve my car. I'm gonna buy things like the alloy screw set and purple alloy nuts, but came across the 'mod' on the web. Firstly, is it worth it, does it drastically improve performance? And secondly, is it a hard mod to do, or a part that goes straight in? (Pictures of the mod could help)

Thanks in advance for all the help,

Sam

Firstly yes it's worth doing as makes the front end more consistent and secondly yes it's easy to do and they fit straight in, all you do is take the rubber grommets out of the front suspension beam and glue in the mi5 pivot balls, there are step by step instructions and pics on the gt12 Facebook page

I'm gonna be trying this on my Supastox, from what I've read and heard it transforms the car. Have you got the part number for the front wheel base kit?

That's just the wishbone balls and sockets, not the pre done wheelbase kit. I'll probably just get the balls £4 for 4 doesn't seem too bad.

Surely this would change the wheelbase though, meaning the bodies would not fit?

Not wanting to point out the obvious, but yup that's what happens when you fit a wheel base adjusting kit, it adjusts wheel base.... on any car with a full body shell you will need to adjust the body arches.. How ever by simply enlarging the front of the wheel arch with a dremel sanding drum, it works OK.
