Default Ansmann Royal Flash chasis and bits

I got a Ansmann Royal Flash for bashing, just cause they were cheap and seemed ok but soon found numerous faults. After a few months work and testing I have made a few mods to the original. I started with the spur gear mount. The stock item ran out of true so after reading from another forum about a conversion kit I made a new spur gear mount and fitted 48dp gears. This helped stop motors overheating and enabled more choice of gear ratios.
Next up the chassis, I made a new one from 3mm aluminium, a new drive bearing block, battery tray and several 6mm dia posts were made to complete the chassis. Since that was done I have made front and rear shock towers to help get the flash suspension working how it should with no body flex. I've slapped in a ezrun 60amp with 5.5t 6000kv motor.

The final results.

Looks ace, have you any pics with the shell on, iv just ran my ezrun 5.5t in my macnum and a 4wd would deffo suit better.

Can i ask though the battery strap looks very close to the red positive plug, does is touch at all.

Keep it up.

The pos wire runs very close to the strap but i dont usually use this battery, i nornally run with a turnigy pack with side exit wires so its no a problem. The reason its so close with that lipo is I put allot of padding in for the turnigy as its soft cased not hard case like the tracpower and its pushed it over alot.
I'll try to get some pics of the shell on, still modding a different shell to fit as the original one exploded on a barrel roll

the chassis weighs roughly the same as theres alot of webbing in the plastic. The shock tower weigh 2-3 times heavier than the plastic parts but provide less twist and better suspension action.
