Default Carisma gtb set up question

Can anyone offer me some set up tips for the carisma. Firstly when going over fairly low jumps (high speed) I notice that the back end keeps flipping out causing me to have to correct it losing a lot of time.
Also on high speed bends I seem to be getting understeer but on slow in-field sharp corners I get grip roll!
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Set up is stock shocks/springs and oil (never touched them), gear diffs 2 degree negative camber on rear, anti roll bar front and rear (1.2/1.1 respectively)

I have the hard front springs with kit rears,37.5wt front,45wt rear.
I found 10000 in the front diff and 3 000 in the rear works well for me and swop the rear hubs left to right to run in lwb.rear hole on Ackermann plate helps calm the steering

Thanks carrot, I'll take a look and also strip and re-build shocks. Think I put 5/3k in diffs following advice but may try 10k in front.

a lot setups ive seen work around this.
rear diff 3000
front diff 7000
rear shocks 32.5
front shocks 37.
fit the carisma pro piston kit only £3
if there loads jumps run 1.2 front anti role bar 1.1 rear
front hard spring.
This is a good starting setup.most nationals run this ive seen even micro x that I just did last week

The pro pistons are a big change to the stock ones. The popular configuration is to run the #2 (1.2mm) in the front and the #3 (1.3mm) in the back. Although some of the top guys have started to experiment with a slightly different configuration.

With your under-steer on high speed corners. It may be because you are running too much wing. Look at some of the pictures on Craigs website, or have a look at some of RCimages facebook pictures from MicroX. YOu need to cut a lot of the wing back face down, makes the car much easier on high speed bends.

Hi Chris,

Pro Pistons are a worth while investment at £3. You can then run the team setups

I suggest you try a combination of things.

A Carisma hard front spring, harder rear sway bar, run the rear camber link position on the inside hole at the hub and add some weight to the centre of the car.

Either add some lead weights in the middle or purchase a brass weight such as the one I sell at Thumbs Designs. Around 30-50g is a good weight to add. It really plants the rear end of the car in pretty much all conditions.

thanks guys all really helpful stuff! Will try a few things, already ordered the piston tuning set and have stripped shocks ready to fit them! Have some lead weight so will add that to see what it does.
