Default Optima re-release shocks...

...built the kit and it went together flawlessley BUT the shocks keep dispensing their oil every time they move!

The shocks are "sealed" by a plastic top hat style bush and two rubber O rings. Problem is, the top hat washer and/or one of the O rings moves and all the oil falls out the bottom.

Is there something I can do to prevent this? An old skool mod or something else?

Thanks

Have you got the "top hat" the right way round?
When I built mine yesterday the first time you pull the shaft down into the threaded silver part I found the 2 orange o-rings simply locked into place and sealed without a problem.

No 4WD because nothing lives up to my original Optima. Until now maybe?...

The washer is the same way round as the instructions. Mine also clicked into place, but they don't stay there.

Solved the problem I created. If all else fails, read the instructions!
