Why would you want to choose the car based purely on the type of Battery pack you've decided you want to run???

Surely the car comes first, then if you can't get a LiPo battery for it - go with the next best thing?!? 4200's are more then good enough now aren't they??

The Lipos most common, like the one I have (in a brick formation) use 2 cells, so its entirely possible to make a saddle pack, its just not been done yet in a hard case.
Perhaps someone will make one soon ???

For me, I subscribe to the idea that the battery choice comes before the car as well, because I intend to use the same batteries for touring, 4wd buggy, 2wd buggy, stadium truck, m-chassis. It would be nice to have them all on LiPo at some point. Good to know that the LiPo's can be saddles too but I wouldn't want a separate set of saddle LiPos and a separate bunch of stick LiPos in order to play with the whole fleet.

No casing. My guess is that IF Lipo will be allowed for racing, they will demand a protective casing like the Orions, and rightly so.

Wouter, check your pm

LiPos will work with the original BJ, which is far from "slow". In fact, a large number of people still run the first car and are very competitive with it.

Lipos are expensive. Don't know how they would work if you run them saddle packs.
