Motors are great I run one. 5.0T, Very smooth power delivery and goes like stink in my YZ4.

I've wired up three combo's for someone else and they are great, work very well indeed. Excellent value and a very good quality products.

Does an ESC like this really differ that much from say a SkyRC Toro 120a? Looking at the photos it looks similar but of course it could still be very different inside

They might be more similar than you think motors look familiar as well

The alloy case is is different, has a stealth black lead, and the fan is much much better quality than the toro, it's silent. Internally, I've not popped the case to compare them. The toro program box works on it. There are a flew slightly different options in the software settings, but nothing major. It's similar to the toro, but not identical. I certainly think the LMR combo price with a motor is very hard to beat, given the quality and performance for the money, and backup and reputation of Lee and the other team drivers.

Now there are other similar speedos too, the G-force, the new corraly, reds racing tx120, etc. They are all similar, but not identical.
I've been running toro's for 2 years now, I've got 6 of them, I think they are great. Never had an issue except for the one I reverse connected which went up in smoke. There were a few bad batch toro's however, but they now seem to have gone from circulation. Yes you can get toro''s cheap on the slow boat from China, but you can also pay a UK stock price from a UK retailer, which is still competitive. Then put that up against the price of an RC concept unit from LMR, given the better fan, stealth black look and you have a very competitively priced unit that will perform excellently. I'd get them with a motor combo, as the pricing together is really good.

RE: motors, the quality is certainly on par with the Reedy, I like the dual sensor board feature, and although I've not compared like wind for wind, i can certainly vouch for the performance of my 5.0T in my YZ4.
