who runs with a 4.5 brushless for racing! . Ive not tried my tensioner with a 4.5, but with adding the bearing just avove the la11 pulley aswell as the tensioner on the belt should stop the belt from jumping teeth.

so you still say you have the fastest zxr, but using a zxs gearbox along with the many other non original zxr parts......can you claim it to be the fastest zxr still?.
But i would put you down as number one with the most impressive modded vintage lazer

Fastest, now yes, in the past possibly as well in a straight line Well the idea came from a ZXS gearbox, but to be honest the only item form the ZXS is LA112 and the side carbon fibre plates are an identical copy of the original ZX gearbox (well side on anyway) with an extra section for the tensioner, but yes its no longer a ZX or ZXR but as Racer mag said a ZXRS as its evolved. Thanks for the nice compliments, believe it or not but that makes my day.

I wouldnt advise a 4.5 but I am using one as i am still testing the layshaft and slipper (VTS) attached to my gearbox. Good things to say is the tenisoner on the ZXRS is spot on and I havent snapped a belt with exception of this weekend and that only happened due to the layshaft failing, and that I have tested to distruction and needs a little tweaking but am satisfied with the immense steps we have made to get this to a very competitive car.

Yes having a pulley ontop of the LA11 makes it stay there and the one underneath has to be positioned perfectly otherwise the belt will wear but overall once my race car is done im making another standard one as a back up and may well race it instead, as I do think it wil be fine.

Looks identical to mine, but with a bit more weight. What size bearings are you usng and by the way looks like a very good design. So when you doing the Maritime event so we can shame the competition????

Regarding the layshaft, well ive done three big events so far with another three days solid practice with a standard steel version and there are some signs of wear on the one way section on the shaft meaning I cant rebuild it without killing the one way bearing but to be honest once the Alcyon is back and should you require a permanent 4wd without using the one way I cant see any reason why he cant sell them now as its up for the job. If like me (and I know there isnt that many) you like a one way then you need a hardend steel varient then when he can find someone to do it for me we will then update you with the costs. unquote

Welshy40, your new prototype layshaft will be ready tomorrow evening and I will send it out the next day in the morning which is January 30th.
This new layshaft is made of ASSAB 705 material which is harder than the previous one. Also, the circlip groove has been shifted 1mm outwards, and the 3mm thread side has been lengthened by 2.8mm. I hope this one will be the correct dimension and also be more robust.

Also to those wanting the optima mid B4 layshaft, 4 will be ready tomorrow also. And yes I am Back !

Sorry Henrik.
Had a motor failure on my CNC machine and ordered a new one from the US last month but the xmas rush delayed it. Here now so it'll be done asap!
Cheers.

Today I get the front mount from Fibe Lyte. It looks much more massive than the original part. I hope using this will prevent crashing the rare LA32.

The front mount is really designed to be used with medium length front shocks

I love the color scheme on your shell BTW

I tought I have the medium gold shocks in the front. I searched in the internet and found shorter shocks. Perhaps someone can tell me please the measures of the long, medium and short shocks!?
Originaly the lazer zx-r was delivered with long shocks at the rear an short shocks (or medium??) at the front?
Have I mounted the correct length at the front (togehter with den new front mount it looks a bit to short..?)

These here looks like mine:

Is this the short or medium sitze?

In the post matey!
I haven't put the bend in it as I didn't know what angle you needed.
Make sure you use something proper to bend it!

anyone got a pair of LA-11 pulleys for sale ? my machinist lost mine. I will also try to copy this pulley so that we all can get cheap pulleys, compared to the originals which costs up to $33 now.
