Here's my modest collection of cars. The most recent find is a brand spanking new Cat XLS. Built some time around 25 years ago, but never run. I think the body was painted by Erhard "Dallas" Mathiesen, but I'm not sure.

The second most recent car is also a Cat, but something of a crossbreed. XLS carbon chassis (Trinity?), Procat parts in the rear, bosscat parts up front, alloy front diff housing, white rear drum diff, delrin steering bits, black gearbox plates etc.

Aaand my first vintage car, a Lazer ZX-R. Jconcepts Punisher body, tamiya drive shafts, B4 spur.

It's not the biggest collection ever, but I have only been doing this vintage thing for five weeks. The next car on it's way here is a Kyosho Optima Mid, I'll get back to you in a week or so.

Mattias wow that new xls is a very good rare find well done As for the other it looks like a Schumacher hop up chassis on a Procat with bosscat rear hubs and a xls front bumper.
The steering setup is a WASP racing one and the rear diff is a MMS one and if you find anymore new xls's fire one over here.

Danf1275 you have a very nice selection of cats there too buddy

Here's some of the cars in my collection. Fox and Falcon are awaiting restoration, but will have to wait until I finish my A stamp RC10 first. Will have to add a pic of it, my RC10 Graphite, Tamiya Hornet and Tamiya Frog.

My other Cat is finally finished. It turned out quite nice. I hope it goes as well as it looks.

Apart from the last 3 on the list, the rest of them are pretty much original.
The hotshot does have odd bits from a hotshot 2..i.e body, bumper.
Boomerang has some original hopups, thought i'd leave it like it for now.
The Hotshot, Bigwig, and 959 have original RX540VZ Technigold motors in them.
The Terra Conqueror, and Top force project have the Dynatech o1r motors.
The Boomerang has an original Acto power motor.

Timmy,

You have actually got me dribbling, now that's really something and brings back a lot of memories. If you ever contemplate selling the Pro-X which as you know was a horrible car and wont tell you where my old one ended up but a designers wet dream when you see the design at the time it was released, and also the Triumph which was a good car and won a nationals so let me know.

Cheers Welshy, glad you approve!

The Pro-x runs the Mk 1 ultima very close as my favourite Kyosho 2wd. Yes the gear box is bloody awful, but it looks great and as long as its sitting on a shelf shouldn't self destruct!!

Just realised I've not put any piccies of my Optima on here

I do have the sandsuper tyres on original rims, but took these photos when I had run in the vintage race at Batley a month or 2 ago so had these Fastrax(?) wheels & tyres on.
I am not too fastidious about authenticity so I know I have the Optima Turbo shocks and I even have an ESC inside rather than wiper arm controller.
Running 17.5T motor with a belt conversion rather than the chain

No 4WD because nothing lives up to my original Optima. Until now maybe?...

Wow... those are VERY desireable buggies!!! I saw one a couple of weeks ago on ebay, it went for over $1700.00!!!
That's the kind of auction that you have to be prepared to go all the way in, pedal to the metal, with testicle fortitude and with the pen on hand in case the wife get you the divorse papers LOL!!!!
