We were all using the same mount which was a L shaped bit of plastic cut from a track marker I used a FTX truck body mount for the actual wing mount - but Mark was using some really nice looking wing mounts from Maverick

IF ya need any wings or even a buggy shell, come see me or Dan on uk-microrc.

We have a section under Phat Bodies, there's pics on there of the 2 wings and a 4wd "Dudu" shell for the Blaze/ST that could well fit the Xray, and a 2wd "Dufus" shell that fits the Tamtech GB-01 and extended Mini t chassis.

Thanks Mr.Speedy, the 'BENDER' wing was the one I used from the looks of it - it was ace. I'm not a fan of the Blaze type shells if I'm honest, though they are much nicer than any truck in existence! So I'm looking at fitting a JConcepts miniBJ4 Illuzion - I heard it can be done.

Actually, the Mini BJ4 will fit the M18T, not the M18T pro. The Pro is 16mm longer, so the body isn't long enough.

Yea, but its also not proportioned to the M18T. It would have these wide sides that just stuck out into space where all dust and dirt could be sucked right in underneath. You would need something closer to a narrower 1/10th 4wd buggy.

So speaking of which, I know I and at least 3 other people here in the US would be interested in a narrow form fitting buggy body that fit the Pro, Mr. Speedy (especially if you offered a lexan underpan as well to velcro the top to).

(I'm ignorant if you are Phat bodies, or just know them, sorry if the former).

Here is my completed M18T Pro (for the most part).

Body is pretty fugly, but I had to give a call out since I did get some oOple stickers on it (almost felt like a shame doing so).

You can see my wing mounting system, and smaller servo as well.

For those who decide on the flight power lipos, they are thicker, so you will have to add shims under the battery retention posts. Otherwise they drop right in.

It has

Electronics:
  • Tekin Rage w/ latest firmware (smmoooth)
  • Aon 4900kv (temp)
  • FlightPower 1600mah 20C 2 cell lipo
  • Spektrum Micro Receiver
  • MRT PTX Micro Transponder
  • Extra Power Cap
  • Hitec HS65MG servo (temp until 5065mg becomes available)

(see the picture of the glowing bits )

Hop Ups:
  • Carbide Diff main and thrust balls
  • Xray Aluminum Shocks
  • 3 Racing Aluminum Bellcrank
  • Xray Blue Sealed bearings in hubs
  • Yellow Rims
  • Losi Street Tires (good for carpet racing as well)
  • Anderson MB4 molded wing
  • Custom tower wing clamp and AE wing mounts
  • Rubber booties on shocks (party balloons)
  • T-bone Racing M18T Racing Bumper
  • RCScrewz screw set (not recommended considering the modifications I had to do to get them to fit in the metal pivots)

Hey Julius. You must get plenty of runtime with that pack!

On your B, I noticed your using the Anderson front tires and the M18T rears. Which are slightly different diameters. You can use the narrow front tires from the RC18T by cutting of the outer lip of the inside of the M18T rim. Then using the now exposed inner lip of the inside as the new outer. Thats what Zack did for the nats for his narrows.

Mini, yeh the 1800 i've had 20minute runs using the Tekin 6800. Thats when i stopped, not from the batt hitting voltage cutoff. Didnt want to risk going further.

Will have to give the 18B tires a try, thanks. I used the Vendetta tires and rims coz I had some laying around. The rims are larger diameter than stock but with tires mounted the diameters are within 1mm difference and didnt have a detrimental affect on handling.

Want to try foams at some stage. My track is made of lots of 600mm square foam tiles like the RCP stuff. Anyone now if foam tires work on this stuff.
Cheers
