Hello Randy

Just another Quick question regarding the Team Tekin B1 Micro Brushed ESC TEKTT1080:

Will this be good for 540 2wd class?
and what is the limit to these please.

Also I guess I can hook this also to the Hotwire?

Thank you
looking forward to your reply

Does anyone use/ tried the active breaking in the RS pro 2.23?
What does it do and when to use it?

It is suppose to be used on the stock type brushless motors, to increase the braking force of the motor.

Hi guys

Quick question in relation to timing start and end points

Will 35 degree timing advance with a start point of 5000 and an end point of 20000 have the same top end as 35 degree timing advance with a start point of 5000 and an end point of 30000?

Am I correct in thinking that higher then end point, the smoother the timing advance is applied?

The issue you have is that you may run out of puff on the motor before you hit your end RPM limit. The wider the band the smoother yes, but you can also soften the power by redducing the Limiter, 2wd I don't go above 85% and 90% for 4wd.

Thanks for your reply

What would be the lowest current limiter setting I should consider on a 2wd with a 7.5 redline?

What software and what settings are you running, I would consider anywhere between 75% and 85%, currently I have gone down to an 8.5 to.

I'm using 223

min throttle 3
tp3 (25 degree timing)
current limiter currently 90
neutral width 5
7.5 redline with no endbell timing

ideally i'm looking to smooth out the power delivery

You're already running a lot of timing with a 7.5 in 2wd with Tp3. I run a 7.5 but run TP 1 or 2 at the most. Current limiter can go as low as 50 without issue and lower still if need be.

Thanks

I dropped the timing and reduced the limiter to 70 - much smoother

Default Tekin RS Pro - is it dead

Hi,

Not sure if anyone can help, but I recently bought a second hand rs pro esc which worked fine till today. I hooked it up to my sp motor and everything else you would do and now it isn't showing any lights on, making any noise and only the servo and pt work. No power to the motor.

Please help or is it to late.

Cheers
Paul

If that was the case then the update wasn't done properly. The update will need to be redone.

I've seen this too. what version of windows are you using?

The odd thing that fixed it for me was this:

plug in hotire to pc
a box comes up saying something about connecting it to the speedo - don't!
i think there is a button on the pop up box that says update? click that and it should do some driver voodoo
now try updating firmware again

not got my hotwire with me so that's from memory but should be close, give it a try.
