TLR 22 3.0 vs Xray xb2

Hi all I can't make my mind up on which one to choose!

Here we go, really is a waste of time asking a question like that because all the Xray fanboys will say Xray and the Losi fanboys will say Losi.

Both are very good cars, toss a coin and pick one.

What track surface do you to you race on generally race on?

The xray is predominately a high traction (carpet/astro) motor forward car, that can be converted to work on low traction surfaces with extras such as weights, ball diff, low traction gearbox, etc.

The losi is predominately a low-mid traction car, with a traditional stand up mid motor gearbox and ball diff, and a high traction motor forward gearbox conversion due in a few months. Out of the box is works best typically on low-medium traction, and is quite understeery on high traction surfaces.

Both are good cars. One may be more suited to your local tracks.

I'm am running on medium / high bite astro outdoors! Bit slippy when damp / cold !

Can you get spares for each car at your local track? another thing to think of?

I bought the 22 3.0. Raced it twice and preferred my YZ-2 so I've sold it.

Personally I'd try to have a go with both cars to see which you like best.

I thought you said anyone could throw the 3.0 down and make it work... Other than you, you meant?

like above posters said they each work better in different track conditions. If your tracks is mostly dry and high traction go for the YZ2/XB2, but if you spend most of the time racing in the damp go for the 22 3.0 (or my preference would be the Serpent MM for lower traction).

I just race 4wd in the winter haha.
