Love mine, so much so I bought a second! Granted it's not as fast as a KF2 or YZ-2 on really high grip but as an overall car for every condition it's brilliant!

Not sure where you're based but if you ever come to southport you're welcome to try mine!

Its also a very good price and you don't need any options, maybe a gear diff if you like them

those that have them all rave about them since they have fixed the front bulkhead its a solid car only option you might consider is a yokomo gear diff and maybe brass weight to balance the car for the price its a great car

It will be used on carpet mainly. I was looking at the yokomo but thought I would just be different. I just wasn't sure how competitive they are. Do they have any team drivers ?.

I totally agree with the earlier post by Tom. I love mine too. I prefer a car which doesn't need too much tinkering with on different tracks, and the Firebolt fits that bill perfectly.Build it on standard set up, add a gear diff, and a Beamcat alloy bulkhead, and it's sorted. much prefer it to the B5m I had previously.

Talking moss models

Still try Alex, he has one in also, but unsure on what he wants. Always worth the email or call.

I must admit that the car has always tempted me but been put off by the seemingly lack of spares,i still fancy giving the car a go so where do you guys get your spares from, also i read about the alloy bulkhead so are they available in the uk or where is the best place to get them from.

No doubt you have seen the build review on petit rc

link...

http://www.petitrc.com/setup/vbcraci...chmidt_Review/

For £150 I am impressed for what you get.

you even get a chassis protection sheet, not seen that in any other kit.

As Tom says perhaps not as fast as KF or YZ2 on high grip, possibly, but awesome out of the box on kit set up and tough, Jamie will sell you spares direct off SMD website if your struggling, honestly really good solid car that needs very little tinkering at trackside leaving more time to race 👍🏻

I ran 3 of these on indoor clay back in the US, I had one of the first 10 kits sold to the public actually. It was fast on clay, but the front end seemed to be made of glass! I think I bought every spare bulkhead and lower arm mount they made, which made me eventually sell them (even though I was still doing well with them) Its rumored that the new plastics they came out with solved those problems. They look great and are made of high quality materials.

Thumbs up

Ive never driven one but I have been really tempted just because every car that ive seen running has always been so smooth and composed and never seemed to get un settled no matter how much you pushed them....

I've just bought a firebolt but not sure what pinion to put on are what tyres to use? Will be racing indoors on carpet mostly and sometimes on grass with a speed passion reventon esc and speed passion 13.5t motor.
Thanks
