Default NEW LRP S8 BX Buggy!

I found this on the maxbashing website, what do you think about the tilted engine and the other innovations? Does anyone have one?

News: New LRP S8 BX Buggy
On-Power stability meets cornering agility. The all new LRP S8 BX is the ultimate high-performance 1/8 Off-road Buggy and will satisfy your thirst of adrenalin. With its unique “Blue is better” design, the S8 BX Team is the latest high-end competition buggy available with some unique features never seen before. The special angled engine mount and the centre line position of its radio components guarantee an optimum weight distribution. Due to this centred chassis layout the S8 BX is easy to handle and the cornering ability is outstanding, especially through chicanes it will amaze you!

The revolutionary rear suspension design with active caster gives the car an improved shock absorbing characteristic and makes stability and agility a standard feature. The new system results in smoother and better handling even under roughest track conditions. The S8 BX is completely realised in no e-clip design.

Whilst providing great stability and plenty of on power traction it offers agility at the highest level, both off power and in the corners. The LRP S8 BX also features some great innovations making the car extremely reliable. Rubber inserts in the suspension arms and an exclusive anti torsion boot on the front-upper arm decrease the wear and tear of the suspension and reduces the flex at the same time. The super save steering linkage design with double mounted inner ball-end and special flanged screws on the knuckles makes it impossible to lose your steering linkage due to impact.

Specially developed plastic is used, designed to survive the roughest tracks and the biggest jumps. Combining this with the highest quality 7075 T6 Swiss Aluminium used for the 3mm main chassis and for the cool blue aluminium parts in the car, it makes the car virtually indestructible.

The brake system of the LRP S8 BX is based on real automobile brake design. Equipped with brake calliper, piston and a 36mm oversize vented steel brake disc this all new brake system provides perfect brake sensitivity and maximum brake power! This outstanding patent pending brake system is directly mounted at the rear differential outdrive and therefore features 2 universal joints less which leads to a more direct brake response. Neither slippery surfaces nor high-grip tracks will make the S8 BX unbalance during braking – this system makes the LRP S8 BX super stable at any surfaces the 1/8 Off-road scene can offer.

I am confused, do you mean the engine is copied or the entire chassis is made by sh engines for LRP?

i did realise that LRP made speedos and batts for rc cars so it did seam odd but an entire car copied or rebadged is just stupid... however those brakes look amazing with the pistons...

LRP don't make cells... rebadged. No RC only company makes cells....

LRP/Nosram have been re-branding the SH engines for the last couple of years now. Therefore doing the same for the new SH buggy makes perfect sense. It's a relationship between the two companies that seem to work.

People would be very naive to assume that just because there is a name written on anything it's made by that manufacturer, whether talking RC or not. Just like if you buy a Dell computer, Dell don't actually make anything inside of it. Similarly with RC cells, would cost hundreds of millions to setup a factory to make cells of any kind, therefore every "RC" brand cell is just a different label stuck on an OEM product.

Hi

I have the sh zcar at the moment runs well. The lrp might not be available in the uk so people wanting this car might have to get the sh one (which is the same LOL)

SH and Z-car are 2 companys in one. The car name is Z-Car ZMXB-8

The car will be available in this country whether it is the LRP or Z-car depends on LRP.

The blue is just like the Kyosho cars which use all blue annodised aly parts. I think that is why LRP distribute them as they like blue as well. Suppose there will also be one with red parts that will be distributed by Nosram

I think the Blue Theme is just a luck on LRP as the Zcar is blue.

I can now tell you that their is a good change that the Zcar will be available in the UK from ME!!!! I probably will be distributing it to the UK.

If anyone wants one PM me for details or how the car handles round the track.

Hi

My guess price at the moment is £299. There are 2 kits in the UK as far as I know I am racing one and the other is a spare.

I have raced the car twice and both times I won the "A" final, first time by a full lap and second time by 10sec due to a bad start.
