I've managed to get mine to within a second and a half of the fastest guys running 17.5 blinky at the Cotswolds track.

I have a few other things left to try, and my chassis is currently 150 ish grams overweight.

The mod that made the biggest difference is the lightweight suspension set (#53794). It's obviously lighter, but the front and rear arms are much stiffer.

I have an SSG chassis to try and I also bought some super shorties to get to the minimum weight.

For a front spool, you could try getting hold of a gear diff & gluing it solid! I wouldn't try that with a ball diff, as they're rarer than rocking horse poo

What spec are you running? You using ball diffs? I've got the SSG top deck and shock towers but a standard carbon fibre chassis. I've got the trf shocks but not sure what else I need to do. The track is tarmac but rather bumpy. It's a very tight technical track with very few overtaking places.

Flourine coated shocks
Ball diffs front and rear
Low friction belts
SSG top deck, carbon towers
Carbon reinforced tub chassis
Lightweight reversible suspension (including CV driveshafts)

If it's tight, you need more front end.

front end: Negative camber, increased castor (can be done with kit suspension by using washers under the front suspension mount block), softening the damping / softer spring.

I go for -2 degrees of camber all round, blue springs on the front and red at the rear. Basically you're increasing grip at the front and / or loosing it from the rear.
