I checked out the above link but all the set ups on there relate to smooth tracks, has anyone got a basic starting set up for an outdoor bumpy track?

Hi
If you use the Tiverton set up with the shocks

front 35wt pink spring 1piston
Rear 30wt pink spring 2 piton
Long wheel base
one way front diff
Battery forward
Limit rear shocks to 4mm inside 3mm out side.
what surface are you racing on, if it is clay ignor all the above, I can only say this is ok for astro and grass.

Should be a good start
If the track is very bumpy std diff in front.

It's basically a grass track with several bare patches. Unfortunately option parts don't appear to have arrived at my LHS yet so I havn't got a one way.
I'm sorry but I'm new to the D4, I've only just finished building it, are the pink springs HB or Losi? and can you please tell me what you mean about limiting the rear shocks to 4 & 3 mm respectively?
Thanks.

Hi
HB springs
build shocks to how the manual tells you.
Then put some spacers 4mm or as rear as you can get between the shock top and the piston (inside). simular to the xx4 Losi rear shocks. Then between the top of the shock and the mounting jiont/spring cap (outside) 3mm
If you do not have Pink HB springs silver Losi front Yellow Losi Rear is very close.

Question Setup for dusty low-grip conditions ?

Does anyone have a setup sheet for a track with a smooth, dry, dusty surface with low grip... Any any ideas how to get a better initial turn in on such a track ?

Thx,
Jason.

I would think Swindon would be much the same as Stotfold, same astro just a larger track (much the same astro now at Silverstone).
