Default Pinion recommendations for Novak 7.5 - Madrat!!!

Hmm im gonna hopefully get the rat up and running for a quick blast, but im unsure on where to start pinion wise.

Running a 4900 lipo , Gtb and Matching Novak 7.5, has anyone ran one yet and what was your gearing.

THanks

Col.

Hmmm for a laugh shall i put a 4.5 in and melt the bushings lol...

Mine took about 5 hours to build, taking my time.

Stock motor, I would of thought, start at a 25 and go up, as it all depends on if the motor is revvy or torque based 27t.

I built mine without taking note of the amount of teeth on the gears so havent a clue on the internal gearing ratio. Anyone know it?

I think the diff is 52t, the shaft is 20t and the spur is 80t..

Glad I read this thread, I have a 10.5 and was going to run for the first time tomorrow with the 21T kit pinion. How are you finding the 23T? If it's getting the motor hot I have a 24T that I may put in instead.

it depends on your ESC setup, motor and track to be honest, 25 and check temps
