No, they dont need to be glued on to the outdrives. They just sit on the little lip on the inner plate edge (self locating really)
Make sure you used the silicone grease than was supplied on each diff ball, and that the bearings on the adjustment screw is installed properly. Best to strip it all down and re-build again as per manual. Also check that the diff plate rings are smooth and notch free. If one side is damaged just flip it around and use the other side of the plate. |

the build step has been brought to Ansmann attention, as it is a little 'vague' on the build, this is how I built it
Clean all parts with motor cleaner Smear a small amount of diff grease on the diff outdrive, where the plates will sit fit plates smear a small amout of grease on the outer edge of the plates assemble the diff pulley/balls/outdrives compress diff spring before fitting (this makes the diff settle a lot faster) use Molybdenum Greae (black AE stuff) or Tamiya AW grease on the thrust bearing. (if you don't do this, the bearing will over heat and wear. Set diff up, should be good

some diffs can feel gritty, but it doesn't affect their operation.

Whilst building my diff i noticed that my diff nut holder only had one notch on it. it still fits but i dont think it will hold up with the 7.5t on the track. The diff itself is silky smooth though.
Anyone have a spare or should i try to get my spare 501x ones to fit Cheers

Yeah, I hope it will stay. I just dont want it to go all pete tong at the track. I'll ask Ansman if they sell it as a spare, or can supply a replacement. I'm deperately trying to get it all ready to race for Thursday, and do a build thingy on my Blog ;/
