Hi, all LiPos must be hard cased and BRCA approved and charged in a LiPo sack.

Thanks for the reply, i thought that would be the case. Would one turnigy 5000 battery be good for one night? I've got a orion shorty on order.

1 LIPO should be ok but you will need to charge between heats. Probably need to charge every 2 heats with a LIPO that size.
Having 2 LIPOs makes it easier to let things cool down before charging etc but 1 is workable.

Is this true that lipos need to be BRCA approved for club nights? If so news to me.

The club runs to BRCA rules, club nights included, albeit relaxed.

Obviously we don't police it Tuesday nights, but would encourage people to use BRCA legal LiPos incase of any problems if a insurance claim is needed.

Potentially you wouldn't be covered should something happen involving a non BRCA LiPo.
