Default Bents Park, South Shields, 12th September 2010 - Racing and Show for Charity!

On Sunday the 12th of September Jarrow club will be holding a charity race meeting at Bents Park, South Shields.

Entry fees will be £5 per person regardless of how many classes you are running, all the race fees will be going to 2 local charities, one that helps disabled kids get involved with sport and leisure activities and the other is a stray animals charity.

Also on the day there will be a static full size car show, with hopefully members from a large range of different clubs.

Upto now the classes we will be running will be:

1/10th 2wd and 4wd
1/10th Trucks,
1/8th electric if enough turn up.

Practice will start at 10am, so people can have a small lie in.

If you are interested in racing at this event could you email your details across to

NESF@live.com

Just so we have an idea on numbers.

Thanks

Peter

A reminder this is tomorrow

Weather forecast is excellent!

Have plenty of 'big cars' booked in from Morris Minors to Minis and TVRs to the Alfa 75 Top Gear car

All cars must be in the park by 10.30am, using the front gate only

Hope to see some of you there

Marsha

Default Bents Park

Many thanks for a great meeting Peter, Marsha, Bill and everyone else who put the effort in building the track and rostrum. Thanks also to Peter Craig and Mike West for helping sort the 4wd gremlins.

Had an enjoyable fun day and great to stand on a rostrum with a sea view.

Oh, by the way, if any one knows who won the A final Short Course trucks, please post their name in huge text here

Well Keith, great to see that you stil have the stamina to stay the course, albeit a 'short course' !

Thoroughly enjoyed today - even tho I made sure everyone in my 2wd final had a transponder in - and forgot my own - duh! (i'm sure I was winning it )
Thanks to everyone who put a bit of time in.

Try this one....

http://www.pureinsite.co.uk/nercr/re...2010/index.htm

Excellent meet, I really enjoyed it and I think we may get some interest and new members from this one.

A to all that helped make it happen, especially Peter for all the effort he put in.

I did ask Bill and Peter to pass on my apologies for not staying to help put the track away, but I had promised my daughter a lift to a concert. I had banked on us finishing by 4pm, leaving an hour to help with the track, I should have known better .
