Default rear shock mounting

Looking for advice

Whats the difference between having your rear shocks mounted to the front of the rear wishbone and running them on the rear of the rear wishbone if there is any

Mounting on the rear seems to offer a little more grip.
Rear mount for dirt and lower grip tracks and front mount for high grip tracks
