Default Outdoor?

Have you guys set any outdoor dates yet? Didn't attend the last national you had and want to pop up and do some running.

Cheers

Si

Hi Si Hopefully the Summer Season starts on Easter Sunday 31/3/2013. At the moment the field and surrounding area are still under water.

Yep, we're planning to be outdoors on the 10th. Then back indoors for a couple of weeks with the full outdoor season starting March 31st.

If the current dry weather keeps up we're hoping the field where we pit will have drained enough that we can use it.

No, it's just a regular club meeting.

The track is great, anyone who wants to pop down on the Saturday to help spruce it up is welcome.

The field is still a bit soft, we have the council going down this week to clear the field side drains.

If it keeps dry this week it's going to be awesome!

http://www.srcc.co.uk/

Our main page has more detail on time and directions are in the lefthand menu.

The more dry weather the better the pitting area will be and bring footwear to suit.

Please only use the gate and not before 9.30am.

If you haven't been before please send you drivers details to info@srcc.co.uk beforehand to help booking in

Race fees have changed so bring a extra £1 if your a senior.

We've just finished at the track. The good news is that the track itself is in good condition. The bad news is that the council seem to have only uncovered one drain and the field is as bad as it ever gets. We dug a pit and pumped the brown grass area which certainly shifted some of the water there, but the field will need weeks of dry weather before it's good for taking traffic. I got stuck just on the perimeter.

We will be there tomorrow, but everyone has to be aware that you will take a risk in driving on the field. I'm going to get there early and open up the main gate. There is a very narrow channel from the gate that may be navigable and then it will be best to park alongside the croquet club hedge. Just by the gate is quite boggy, so I'll see if I can lay some plywood over the obvious areas by the gate.

It might be worthwhile just parking on the road outside and quickly checking the situation before attempting to drive on the field.

So, it's going to be a suck it and see day.
