Default speed passion 2.0 gt

Hi folks look for some advice

I run a speed passion gt 2.0...

Now what I'm having trouble with is a software issue,
the esc is up to date etc...

But when do change software from stock to modified and back...
When does a motor stop being a stock and start being a modified... What's the cut off point

If it cuts out/over heats!

I'm going through the same thing at the moment with a 6.5t motor and the gt 2.0.

Switched all the toys off, then switch them on bit at a time until I'm happy with the temps.

(I'd suspect the limit is about the 8.5t mark in a buggy)

I ran a 7.5 car went well put in 8.5 spinning everywhere... 2wd buggy

But I'm lead to believe that anything lower than 10.5 is stock software and everything lower is is modified software ie the 8.5...

I ran modified software with a 10.5 on carpet it ran good outdoor it was a pig in a poke... So that soon got rectified

But I really need to find out the proper cut off point on motor limits to software used...
As I said early about the 10.5 being stock and 8.5 being mod software

My understanding is that 10.5 turn and above is stock and anything lower is modified.

I thought that also... But have since come across info from speed passion sayin only use stock software with motors 8.5 to 17.5 with off-road buggies but I assume they are referring to 4wd as I had a 8.5 in my 2wd with mod software and was useless...

ive just bought a durango 410, and got a gt 2.0 to put in it with a 5.5 motor. was having isues with it running for no more than 20 seconds before reducing poweron all software. turned off temp cutoff, ran and tested temp every minute for 5 mins and all ok on mod software. did 4, 5 min races on sunday with no probs.
