of course we must respect there rules, that goes without saying but as its for charity and they want people to turn up,i would have thought they might respect other people stuff they have or use as well, very few clubs allow foams now especially off road in fact most clubs poo poo them and your other choice dirt hawgs are garbage and very dear,i doubt one run on it with pins would do damage in fact might increase the club popularity, and attendance

Thanks James, your right The event is all about promoting the sport and helping a good charity an it's not as if there's a championship depending on the results, and we're trying to work out if there's a compromise tire that will suit everyone for a one off meet.

btw we've ditched dirthawgs as a club now, they griped ok, but gave wierd handling and apparently are discontinued

I don't think our carpet will be around in 10 years time, but whenever it goes it would have had a good life.

I have a set of Hawgs for sale (after Feb)!!!

I used to do this rally in my Peugeot 205 Gti with Stu Evans, great times, we came 31st one year!

Why don't you encourage some 1/10th rally cars to come along, HPI Rally, Tamiya do loads, Yokomo? They run on road or treaded tyres and would look good next to their full scale cousins.

Check this mean machine out!!!

We run an oddball class - anything goes! - traxxas slash's, Revo's, classics, anything! So if anyone does have 1/10th rally cars they will be more than welcome to join in!

If theres enough we'll put them in a separate heat!

On another note - that pic's making me miss my 205 GTi oh Why did I sell it?!?!?!

I think your missing the point..... Who cares what tyres are available ..... I think some people are looking at this as a competative event, and not the fact IT IS FOR CHARITY!.... and maybe a little fun on the way.

There are a lot of worthy cause out there and what ever we can do to raise a few quid to make someones life that little more comfortable is a far cry from arguing over what tyres to use.

If you want competition... Go chadderton.... If you have a heart and after a fun day... Come along.

Rant over

directions from the motorway are

Leave the M55 at Junction 4, signposted Blackpool North
Shore. At traffic signals travel straight ahead signposted
North Shore A583 to Blackpool. As you enter Blackpool head
for the Promenade passing Blackpool Tower and the Metropole
Hotel. At the traffic signals, signposted Clevelys -
Fleetwood, continue forward for approximately 3 miles. The
Norbreck castle is situated on the right handside.

Ill post up later when we no 100% a start time looking like 10ish tho. Booking in will be on the day and the correct money at the time will help us out . see the first post for the details of the rally its self

Cheers Stuart had a look at 1st post for price and classes running

What's the situation with parking, couldn't get there last year, but assume with a Rally going on the main carpark will be full?
Thinking about carting pit box/table & chair.
Also access into the hall do we have to pay an entrance fee to get in?

Cheers sorry for all the questions, can imagine it being quite busy when we get there, that's all

Looking fwd to seeing some Mk1 & 2 Escorts
