Default Neo buggy 2012 report with pictures and videos by Nasir Din.

Hello, i went to see the finals today at Harper Adams college ( neobuggy),so i thought it would be best to conclude a little report of my day. Please enjoy and leave comments.

When we arrived, the weather was just about holding up,it took us about 15 minutes to the find the damn hall place as it was hidden deep inside a University.
All we could hear was the sound of the commentators to guide us, and we found it !!

Parking was not an issue, plenty of parking available throughout the university which is always good. The hall itself was made for the university for agricultural engineering and was opened it 1983.It was MASSIVE!!,

The track layout was full of jumps!,even the main straight had a jump towards the end. It seemed very complicated, but it was layed out just about perfectly!.After every practise or race the very helpful Marshalls would brush the track down, which improved grip.

The race was organized perfectly so thanks to all those involved in the organization of the event. There was only 1 problem THE RAIN!,it started raining and raining and raining, it got very cold and i forgot my jacket at home!,me thinking this was Jamaica ! , However,it did not effect any of the track as (of course) it was indoors,So the racing went on and on, But then there was a electrical failure then 1 race had to stop,(i think due to the rain getting into the electrical system). After that there were no problems to be seen, but fun and joy!.

The pitting area was layed out perfectly yet once again, they had a massive projector screen with the live timing in the front alongside a live television broadcast from the race next doors, there were tables, racers, tools, expensive kits, and even Underwear models walking around, that was rather marvellous!!.

Outside the hall place there were shops (stalls) from France and U.k selling many parts/cars etc, oh and a burger fan and a curry shop place at the side, again a marvellous touch!.

Now it's always been a dream of mine to meet the top racers. (geeky dream i know!,but hey). So i met Atsushi hara and Ryan Lutz and many other top racers. It was really nice having a good old chat about their cars etc.I also met Juraj Hudy, XRAY Chief Designer,And told him how great his cars were ,i think he appreciated that.

Now i was sporting Team associated and wanted to meet Mr cavalieri, however he seemed to busy so i left him to work,I did however take a picture of his car and Cody kings car (without the body shell).

The final results were:
1.car 1. Jared Tebo.
2.car 2.Ty Tessman.
3.car 3. Ryan mayfield ( YEAH TEAM ASSOCIATED!!).
4.car 10. Ryan Cavalieri.(YIPEEEE TEAM ASSOCIATED!!).
5.car 5. Ryan Lutz.
6.car 6.Robert Battle.
7.car 4.Elliot Boots.
8.car 13.David Ronnefalk.
9.car 9. Neil Craig.
10.car 12.Jesse Robbers.
11.car 7.Cody King.
12.car 11.Martin Bayer.
13.car 8.Reno Savoya.
14.car 14. Darren Bloomfield.
15.car 15.Josh wheeler.

The associated guys had a great start especially Cavalieri,he jumped to 8th position and worked his way up to 4rd and at one point he was 3rd,but the small mistakes mend he lost it and drifted back to 4rd. Ryan mayfield was very consistent and drove a excellent drive.

Tebo and Tessman were wheel to wheel,it was so close but as the race progressed we all knew who the winner was going to be.Tebo drove like a dream!,excellent in every way and very little mistakes,he took corners perfectly,he had the speed and he had the jumping stragedy perfectly worked out.

But i personally think the main winners of this event are the people who took part for the first time,i spoke to some and i got nothing but positive feedback, how much they enjoyed it and how their cars were up for it etc. Its a big event with PRO drivers and its a big leap to take part in such a event.

Each and everyone of those drivers drove excellently, but Jared yet again takes the desirable win.

I have taken some videos and pictures so please take a look below.
SORRY FOR THE BAD QUALITY IMAGES/VIDEOS,MY CAMERA WAS NOT WORKING SO I HAD TO USE MY MOBILE PHONE, APOLOGIES.

Arrow Styleone in the venue!!

Nasir seems to have got a nice shot of my van complete with oOple livery!! I was at the venue for about an hour having a brief chat with Lee Martin and a few of the British lads....great venue, wonderful racing, and the event was only slightly troubled by the horrific weather outside...big respect to Nasir for the prompt report and all who attended and organised such an amazing meeting!

Next year we may even try and get an oOple stand? thoughts mods and members?

Me and my mate are planning to race next year, Its just VERY expensive, race entry is like £130.00 or something, then hotel and food etc. So lots of saving up to do.

Thanks.

I did it in 2011

It is not cheap!

1st issue is getting a entry.. the best way is if you *Know* someone who can put a word in for you. Or If you have raced in any other big meetings and people know who you are. 99.99% of the drivers at neo can drive pretty good. Give or take, its a great event and I really enjoyed it in 2011. But as said before its not cheap £125 on entry
Tyres-You would need.. 5+ sets ideally
Wheels
Inserts

Then spare Servo'- engine- plugs... you want a spare of everything really..
Then accommodation costs £150 ish+.. food/drink... travelling
Most people will end up spending over £600 I reckon you can spend as little or as much as you like. I would highly recommend it if you can get a entry that is!

Jamie- £600.00 thats a lot of money!!, you could buy a new kit for that lol,but its a great experience,

John-Thanks much appreciated, actually it was well ventilated as the side panels were open so you couldn't feel too much fumes in the building.
