Default New to 1/8th needing advice please.

Hi, I've just bought a losi eight 3.0e and am looking at doing some deerdale winter series, could someone please point me in the right direction for motor, esc, servo and batteries please?

Do the batteries need to be brca approved like 1/10th?

Also what tyres do you run in each conditions?
Thank you

Hi

batteries don't need to be BRCA approved, look at either the LRP, Hobbywing or tekin for speedo and something about 1900KV motor wise, go for sensored, little more money than un-sensored but are smoother to drive

Thank you that's really helpful, do you use 7.4v x 2 or 14.8.

Also how about tyres if you have raced at deerdale. Thanks

Hobywing xerun 150a esc + turnigy trackstar 1900kv works perfectly. Performance same as tekin.
Batteries Intellects or Turnigy ultimates.
Xpert or savox servos. Xpert is less power hungry.

Ive been running a hobbywing quikirun 150 amp which is waterproof so go for when the track is a bit damp. Ive dropped down to an 1800kv reedy motor now to last for the 20 minute finals we have at ledbury but i have a HPI scream for 15 minute finals. I picked up so RB 4s lipos for £70 a pack and they are great but i have been running 2 hobbyking lipos normally.

Cheers

Rich
