It's still a Conversion Kit, so shocks are not included. Thus, we assume you'll run AE if your are converting a B4, but the choice is yours.

Ellis has said often that the main reason he uses Losi shocks is that he ran for them for years, is very familiar with them, and has zillions of shock parts in his box. So run the shock you have parts for, the ones you know.

Just got the first prototype label from the printer. Dialed...

I'm sure that if Ellis thought that the AE shocks would give him an edge then he would be using them ............ regardless of how many zillions of Losi shock parts he's got hanging around in his pit box

Exactly! They DONT give him the "edge", so why go to all that hassle of changing all your stuff for no differance when they are much the same as what he already has lots of and knows very well.......

The point being that you need Losi shocks on the car if it is going to perform the same, I can't remember anyone using AE shocks on an X6 at the top end of the English national scene. There are probably plenty of people that have bought the car and can't afford to throw away the AE shocks from the donor car and fork out on the Losi ones.

Any price yet?

I must admit, if X-Factory brought out a full kit, I would really consider one, but I just can't justify the cost of a used B4 and a conversion.

I was really looking forward to a Tom Cock edition, with all the metal bits bent and plastic bits cracked in the kit, but he's shattered my dreams now and moved on

Thanks to all for the props. Our only goal is a happy Family -- a whole group of guys working their tails off to be faster today than yesterday and loving that work. Keeps us from mischief...

We now await delivery of one crucial part, the new #5661 rear axle. We are thinking of shipping the Kits without it, then mailing them when they arrive. Hope to have more info this afternoon our time. Remember that we are entirely out of the older #5660, so putting them in won't work.

So if you are thinking of shipping out the kits without this one part you MUST have a price, right?

Ouch, people were moaning that the Durango was expensive at £445 for a complete, top of the range 4wd kit ............ can't imagine X Factory can price a 2wd conversion kit at anywhere near that, not when it still needs a decent donor car and a set of shocks.

Not quite true Alec, some of the parts are being UK sourced too (Rudebits, Decal Designs etc) Chazz has to worry about the items at his end, the kits are then being sent here and the UK items added, signed individually by Ellis and sealed up ready for despatch. The price will only be confimed when this is complete, which is basically what I posted back on page 1 of this thread.......

The kit is aimed solely at the UK market owing to its nature and will be all revealed VERY soon, so please be patient and bare with us until then.
