Default First build and paint job!

Hi-just recently built my first rc car (b44.3) and finally got round to painting the shell at the weekend. Not amazing but happy for my first attempt!

Looks good, and clean lines on the paint.
Check the nut on your front rt wheel as it doesn't look like the nylon lock part has gone onto the thread?

Cheers Ashlandchris. Cheers for the shout on the front wheel. The front locking nuts don't seem to go on as much as the rears do. It has just about bitten the nylon. The wheels are seated correctly on the hubs.

the nuts caught me out when i first got my B44.
there are 2 different thickness of nuts. use the thicker one on the rear and the thinner ones on the front, otherwise you will be overtaken by your front wheel - which is never embarrassing.
If you can, get some of the Jconcepts low profile serrated wheel nuts for the front.
And a wrench with holes in the handle so that you can put a small screwdriver through it to form a T, otherwise you will struggle to undo the nut.

So they are! Had a small not in the rear so have swapped them round. Think i will prob invest in some of the serrated one. The fronts dont seem to be too secure!

My very first heat last year when I returned to RC after 30yrs resulted in a premature retirement due to my front wheel beating me down the straight. I never did realise why - but sold my B44.1 shortly thereafter (not for that reason, I'll add)
